Kissing is one of the most cherished and intense experience you can enjoy with your partner. Regrettably, a number of us feel nervous and uncertain about how to kiss – particularly if it is our first kiss. Whether you want to improve your technique or are about to experience your first kiss ever with your new companion, there are things you can do to be better prepared.

1. Avoid awkwardness – be kissable

It is necessary that you maintain good oral hygiene – both in general social situations and specially when you are about to kiss. Nobody likes awful breath. Avoid foods that may cause bad breath like onion or garlic and carry some mint to revive your breath. Bad breath situations can be avoided  by brushing and flossing the teeth regularly.

2. Be Polite

You should not go hastening in for a kiss and especially if it is your FIRST kiss. While more experienced couples cuddle in passion, all encircling kisses – your first kiss requires some flair. Try watching out for a signal from your partner. A speedy or “rushy” first kiss can cause bumping of the teeth leading to an uncomfortable situation.

3. Look for Signals

Try to look for signals when kissing with your partner.  Do they recurrently stroke you on the arm while chatting to you? Are there persistent moments where you both look at each other? Does your partner lick his/her lips on occasions while having a conversation with you? Have you talked about kissing with them?

4. Loom for the kiss

Always make a slower approach when kissing for the first time.  Slant your head somewhat to evade bumping noses. If suitable, use your hands to touch or steer your partner towards a kiss – softly – you don’t want to compel them into doing anything. Close your eyes when kissing with your partner or when your lips touch for the first time.

5. Take your time

There are many diverse kinds of kisses – from mild pecking to sumptuous French kisses. Your first kiss should be romantic and gentle Do not try and force your tongue in the first time. You can hug your partner while kissing. Let your hug and kiss steer you both. Enjoy the moment and try not to do anything stupid. A good first kiss can lead to magical moments later on.
