Did you get tired of your swelling foot? Did you had enough of rubbing your foot after running in the morning? Do you simply want to enjoy your jogging without thinking about how the feet will hurt half of the day?

I think you do. It is simply impossible to believe that someone would want to feel aching one of his body parts! Don't you agree? I truly think you do.

Prevention

When we think that this excruciating daily torture is part of our schedule as we run at least three times per week, we should protect ourselves. In the Middle Ages people were tortured to confess their sins. Why are we supposed to torture ourselves when jogging can be so fun?

1. Inspect your feet carefully. When you see modifications (color, temperature, thick or discolored nail) in their aspect consult a podiatric physician. A nail fungus is treated much easier when the infection is at the beginning. When all the 10 toenails need treatment, the matter is very serious. You must understand that the treatment for toenail fungus infections last very long. All the nail needs to grow in order for you to consider yourself cured.

2. Wash your feet paying much attention to the area between toes. Dry them completely before putting on other shoes. The moisture on the skin completed with the hot air within the shoe is a favorable medium for various pathogens.

3. Do not shower without slippers if you go to a gym. The humid warm atmosphere from the showers is the perfect place for all kinds of bacteria. You would not want them invade your feet.

4. Buy shoes that fit your feet. Use at least 2 pairs of running shoes. Use them alternatively and change them when they wore out. This means that the pair should not become unusable before it gets replaced with a new one.

5. Buy the right shoes. If you run, buy running shoes. The name "running shoes" is not simply a name. The producers made tests and offer you the best product for protecting your body.

6. Do not use self medication. You do not want to transform a minor problem into a catastrophe. You may use stronger drugs that are not necessary or you could turn resistant to some components.

7. If you have diabetes, heart problems or poor circulation do not be imprudent! Do not treat the slightest problem by yourself! Go and see your physician and respect your own body. The wounds of those who have diabetes heal very slowly compared to a healthy person and you need to take extra precautions to prevent further injuries.

8. Before going hiking use antiperspirants for your feet skin. This way you will not get blisters at all or you will get a small number.
