AdExchanged.com is a free advertising exchange service where sites partner together and exchange free advertising among each other.

This idea is not new and originated with LinkExchange.com a company that was later acquired by Microsoft. Unfortunately, Microsoft largely abandoned the idea and used to site for Microsoft Small Business.

AdExchanged restarted the idea and aimed at startup companies. To revitalize the concept they combined the idea of ad exchange network along with the ability to contextually target the ads.



Ad exchange networks have several benefits over paid advertising networks. First, they are great for start ups since they require very little costs and no budget.

Secondly, ad exchanges are often seen as a way to take out the middleman, since publishers often display ads and then end up buying ads from the same companies to publicize their website.

AdExchanged.com sees itself not as a competitor to paid advertising but as a supplement to increase traffic. Since it's public beta AdExchanged.com receives 100,000 impressions every week spread among several dozen sites in their network.
